JUST-B PROGRAMS

Just-B helps people of all ages to be stable in their inner world and responsive in their external world

by planting the seeds of self awareness, calmness and focus. 

A fun, interactive program centred around mindfulness training, Just-B helps adults, teenagers and pre-teens to live their life with clarity and focus, to make the best use of their own unique abilities to enjoy a happier, easier and more fulfilling life. The program can potentially change the way we live life - helping with academic work, extra-curricular activities, and managing relationships at home, school & work. More importantly, we learn to live with awareness, mindful of the choices we make and the actions we take. 

 

With the idea of conscious choice will come the idea of setting priorities, knowing what’s important to us at any stage in our life, managing our time and tasks more effectively for an easier and more fun life.  We learn to happily and effectively manage the changes in our lives, our own expectations and the expectations of others (from us), handling peer pressure, understanding and managing expectations from parents, teachers, coaches, partners, colleagues – always with awareness. Along the way, we touch upon courage and fear, being non-judgmental, being open-minded, and a few other topics.

Just-B gives younger children a head start in life. It helps them be more self-aware and focused. They begin to recognise and accept their own potential and their own uniqueness. We present simple mindfulness techniques in a creative and interesting way to hold their attention. They learn how to slow down their thoughts and manage negative emotions better, paving the way for greater self-assurance, confidence, calmness and a happier, more fulfilling life.

Each session deepens the understanding of issues, strengthens our motivation to apply the learning to our lives, and adds a few new ideas – building on the learning in the previous sessions.

Nandini Nagpal

Director, Just-B Programs

Mindfulness & Positive Psychology Coach & Trainer, Counsellor, Storyteller

Nandini is a counsellor, mindfulness trainer & coach, a storyteller & story coach, as well as a positive psychology practitioner, based in Singapore. She teaches mindfulness to children, teenagers, and adults, in groups and through individual sessions.


Nandini has conducted teacher-training programs and parenting workshops in mindfulness.  She has worked with young children, pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults in diverse ways for the past 18 years. Through her work, she has seen how mindfulness can help diverse audiences reconnect with their inner world and be more calm, responsive, and anchored. She has also seen how stories and activities with powerful learning outcomes can change the way children view themselves and their world.

Nandini conducts storytelling workshops and individual story coaching sessions for adults. She also does storytelling performances for children, family audiences and adults.  She has been a coach for university students at an international storytelling competition in Jakarta from 2018 - 2022, as well as a judge at local and international storytelling competitions, children's creative writing and oratorical competitions. She has also been a workshop presenter at conferences in Singapore. 
 

Nandini has a Master of Counselling degree from Monash University, Australia, and a  Graduate Diploma in Applied Positive Psychology. She has learnt advanced meditation, and been trained in the Mindful Schools curriculum (Mindful Educator Essentials, Mindful Communications and Difficult Emotions). She is a Professional Member of the Storytelling Association (Singapore) and has been on their Executive Committee from Feb 2015 - Feb 2021. She is also a Professional Member of the Federation of Asian Storytellers (FEAST).
